SiTime has introduced semiconductors for a wide range of applications

Semiconductor manufacturer SiTime Corporation (SITM) has introduced new high-performance oscillators. Such chips used almost everywhere, and SiTime expects large volumes of supplies. SiTime has introduced a line of Elite X Super-TCXO oscillators that surpass existing analogues in reliability and accuracy.

Oscillators are chips that accurately set the frequency required for synchronization in electronics. For example, they allow you to measure short periods of time in automation devices, radio frequency modules. Someone widely used such chips in 5G peripheral equipment and data centers, industrial equipment, connected cars, sophisticated household appliances, etc.

The new MEMS oscillators from SiTime have increased resistance to mechanical and thermal loads, twice the frequency stability and 30 times higher reliability than conventional quartz. SiTime expects new products will be in demand in fast-growing new areas, such as electronic driver assistants (ADAS), virtual reality devices and where old technologies do not provide the required accuracy.

The market of basic components for electronics is more resistant to volatility than the segment of, for example, high-performance central and graphics processors. Leading electronics developers are actively switching to a new element base, including replacing obsolete components with micro-electromechanical (MEMS) chips, which, with tiny sizes, have notable characteristics and increased reliability.
